Interactive Palm Sunday ServiceSunday, March 28 at 11 a.mThis year's Palm Sunday Service (March 28) will involve everyone. We'll even begin our time with a brief "rehearsal" before we embark upon the actual service in which everyone has a part to play--whether it's waving palms or tossing cloth or beating a tambourine or taking on the voice of the angry mob.
Come and be a part of the drama and the action on Sunday, March 28 at 11 a.m
Maundy Thursday Supper and ServiceThursday, April 1 6 p.m.Maundy Thursday commemorates the Passover meal at which Jesus instituted the sacrament of communion. It is also the night that Jesus was betrayed by one of his own.
We will gather in the fellowship hall for a simple meal of bread, cheese and fruit and share communion while gathered around the table--much like Jesus did on that night. Then we will move to the sanctuary to finish our service.

Jesus Comes to Argenta!
North Little Rock, Arkansas—October 12, 2009. One of North
Little Rock’s oldest churches is getting a new pastor. Reverend Anne Russ will
kick off her tenure with the First Presbyterian Church in Argenta with a
six-week series on “The Jesus You Should Know” at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October
18. For the series, noted artist Sherrie Shepherd (who is also
a church member) has created an original work of art depicting Jesus in the
midst of Argenta. The work will be unveiled for the first time at Sunday’s
worship service.
“There are a lot of exciting things happening in Argenta,”
said Rev. Russ. “First Presbyterian has been here for over 100 years. We plan
to continue to live out and speak the Good News in ways that people can hear.”
Rev. Russ previously served as pastor at Grace Presbyterian
in Little Rock, but has only recently returned to Arkansas after a three-year
stint in Europe, where her husband had an ex-patriate assignment with Acxiom Corporation.
Worship at First Presbyterian Church is every Sunday at 11
a.m. at the corner of Maple and 4th in North Little Rock, just one
block off Main Street. Everyone is welcome.
